The eyes that peak out through the
sumptuous surroundings of fabric
hearts and beaded flowers in Andrea
Zanatelli’s
artwork, seem to have a
particular artistic gleam. The same
gleam, I imagine has guided the
twenty–four year old Milanese since
finishing art school. With inspiration
steaming back to the romanticism
of Elizabethan portraits and ancient
tapestries, it’s not hard to see how
Zanatelli has cultivated his own poetic
vision. It’s this vision that he shares
within the pages of The Ingénue.
